Why I started this Blog
Dear Friends and Family,
I started this blog for a couple of reasons, both of which are admittedly selfish.
As we are going through a crisis with Jenn-Jen’s pregnancy and subsequent premature birth of our twin girls, a fear gripped me pretty hard. That fear is the fear of forgetting. I am so afraid of forgetting the emotions and experiences that we are going through right now. So my main reason in writing this blog is to capture everything I can so that I can look back one day and reflect upon this part of my life, and more importantly, how it has made a change in me and my family. One day, I hope that this will be shared not only with my children, but their children as well.
The other reason why I put up this blog is to help pass on information to anyone that is concerned. We have been blessed with so many of you that we call our friends and family, but an unintended consequence of caring is an overwhelming outpouring of love that often comes in the form of phone calls, text messages and e-mails. For the sake of not repeating an update fifty times each day, I thought the use of modern technology would help alleviate the strain of responding to you in a reasonable amount of time. So I thank you for your patience and understanding, as I know this might not be the most personal way of keeping you updated.
Love,
Gordon Owyang

Gordon,
Chris & Mike here…just got/read the entire blog. Prayers are going out to you as I write. Any chance we can visit you either for lunch or at hospital or home…just for a show of support? Let me know and we’ll make it happen.

You don’t know me. I’m an old friend of Dusty and Tammi Taylor’s. Anyway, I have been keeping up with your blog. As a mother myself, I can only begin to understand this trial. I just want you to know that I have been praying for your family– in many ways. God is so much bigger than us. And if His eye is on the sparrow. . .
God bless you.

God, please give Gordon, Jen Jenn, Adam, and family the peace and serenity to get through this. We think about you everyday. Kayla and Lindsay are looking forward to playing with their girl cousins. Be well.

Dear Gordon and Jenn-Jen,
I don’t know if you remember me, but I was in AACF at UCSD with the two of you. I hope you don’t mind, but Eileen (Yeh) Cheng passed your blog along. I have been reading and praying for your family. Know that all of you are very loved.
